Tips for Searching
You can search for Companies and/or Products from Kompass.
Searching for Companies: This is the default search. Just key in the name of the company you are looking for. A separate browser then appears which will show you the available companies for that search. Just click on the name of a company to see its details.
Searching for Products: First, you need to switch to the Products/Services search (button). Then key in the product or service term e.g. metal tubes.
The RESULT will be a listing of headings containing the word(s) you have typed. You should then click on the relevant heading to see a list of companies.
Extended Search: You will see a facility for an Extended Search at the bottom of each page that lists the product headings. This allows you to search the text of companies rather than their product codes. It is a very useful search that will sometimes yield results for words / terms that are not available in the product codes.
You should always try using the Extended Search when you get NO SEARCH RESULTS for any particular product search.
